Kydex is molded around the slide and the trigger guard, so a Glock 45 uses the Glock 19 shell, not a Glock 17 shell. Concealment, though, is decided by the frame. Best Gun Belt
A Glock 45 with a loaded magazine is over 30 ounces on your waistband, and a dress belt will fold under it. This is 14 ounce leather at 1.5 inches, stiff enough to hold the holster upright and stop the gun rolling away from your body through the day. If your current setup sags by lunchtime, the belt is the fault, not the holster.
Best for: Every Glock 45 carrier, and the first thing to fix if concealment is inconsistent.
What Actually Matters When Buying
Material. Kydex holds its shape, so the mouth of the holster stays open when the gun comes out and you can reholster one handed without collapsing the shell. Leather and nylon go soft with wear and body heat. Every holster on this page is Kydex, molded in house in Florida, apart from the gun belt.
Retention. Adjustable Posi-Click retention lets you set how hard the gun locks in. Set it so the gun holds when the holster is turned upside down and shaken, then no tighter. A Glock 45 is heavy enough that retention set too light is a real problem when you sit down or run.
Adjustability. Cant and ride height are what turn a holster that fits into a holster you keep wearing. Appendix carry generally wants a straight or slightly forward cant and a high ride. Hip and kidney carry want more cant so the grip lays back along your belt line.
Trigger guard coverage. The shell has to fully enclose the trigger guard with nothing able to enter it while holstered. This is not a preference, it is the safety requirement, and it rules out soft universal pouches for a striker fired gun.
Belt. The belt carries the weight, not the holster. A 1.5 inch purpose built gun belt is the difference between a Glock 45 that disappears and one that pulls your waistband out all day.

Appendix Carry Setup
Appendix is where the Glock 45 rewards a correct setup and punishes a lazy one, because the full size frame is a long lever sitting at the front of your body.
Run a claw. Non negotiable on this gun. The claw pushes against the belt and rotates the grip inward, which is the only thing that reliably stops a Glock 17 sized frame printing. Buy the Holster Claw Kit or start with the Plus Line, which already has one.
Ride high, not low. Set the ride height so the top of the slide sits just below your belt. Dropping the gun lower to hide the grip pushes the muzzle into your thigh crease and makes sitting worse, not better.
Get the belt right first. A soft belt lets the whole rig tip outward, and no amount of claw adjustment fixes that.
Wardrobe. A patterned or textured shirt hides the grip outline far better than a thin solid tee. This matters more with a Glock 45 than with a slim single stack.
Sitting. Test it seated before you commit to a position. The 4.02 inch barrel is short enough that the muzzle usually clears, but the grip has to be checked against a seatbelt and a steering wheel.
Generations, Optics and Lights
Generations. The Glock 45 arrived as a Gen 5 gun and continues in the sixth generation, which Glock sells as the V Series and which most shooters and the press call Gen 6. The Gen 6 changes are concentrated in the frame and the trigger: a rounded grip, an extended beavertail, more aggressive texture, a flat faced trigger and a new direct mount optic system. Glock's published external dimensions for the G45 and the G45 V are identical, barrel, slide, overall length, height and width alike, and our own fitment data validates the Glock 19 pattern shell across Glock 45 generations. So your existing shell is the right shell.
Optics. Every Kydex holster we build is optic cut, so a Glock 45 MOS or a Gen 6 with a red dot mounted needs no different shell and no separate decision at checkout. That is also why our Holsters for GLOCK 45 MOS collection and our standard Glock 45 collection share the same products.
Lights. A weapon light does change the shell, because the holster is molded around the gun and the light as one shape. We cut Glock double stack shells for the Streamlight TLR-1, the TLR-7A and TLR-7X, and the Olight Baldr S and Baldr Mini. If you run a light we do not list, the Trigger Guard Holster is the honest answer rather than forcing a shell that was not molded for it.
Threaded barrels and compensators. A standard shell is molded to the muzzle. If your Glock 45 wears a compensator, use the trigger guard holster, not a shell cut for a bare muzzle.

Because the Glock 45 uses a Glock 19 length slide, a Glock 45 fits a Glock 19 holster and a Glock 19 fits a Glock 45 holster. The frame is longer on the 45, but the frame sits outside the shell, so it does not affect fit. Going the other way, a Glock 45 will not sit correctly in a Glock 43X or Glock 48 holster, since those are single stack slimline shells and the 45 is a double stack gun.

Is the Glock 45 Discontinued?
No. The Glock 45 is current. It was one of the three models Glock launched in the sixth generation at SHOT Show 2026, alongside the G17 and G19, and Glock lists both the G45 and the G45 V. Glock has retired many older Gen 4 and Gen 5 catalog items, which is where the confusion comes from, but the G45 line continues.
